Mount St. Benedict

Took a drive up to Mount St. Benedict this week. The atmosphere there is just one of peace and tranquility. Breathtaking views of central and south Trinidad, and on the opposite side, the lush greenery of the northern range. Got there at about 3:45pm and the sun was bright and out in all it's glory, yet there was a cool breeze blowing for the entire time, not once did I feel bothered by the heat. There were a few people walking around, others sitting on the benches having quiet conversations. It just seemed like the perfect place to go get away from the daily hustle and bustle, just to sit in silence and recharge for a bit. Even if you aren't a religious person, you would still appreciate what the place has to offer, and you should, like me, leave feeling a little happier and more relaxed.
